ABO Haven Inc. is a premier provider of education, training, and job readiness delivery systems designed for populations who may be unemployed or underemployed. The organization has evolved from the core employment training unit of a local community economic development corporation to a model of Nonprofit Social Enterprise (NSE) supporting workforce development in the Greater Philadelphia region. Each of the four (4) operating divisions of ABO Haven, Inc. are charged with diversifying operating revenues through earned income strategies, while maintaining the spirit and intent of our social purpose mission.

Our approach to the market is centered on meeting the workforce demands of the "21st Century Economy." We create value for clients by establishing performance benchmarks which measure our capacity to understand the culture of our clients and tailor curriculum for students to meet the technical standards and organizational expectations of our client's workplace environment.

Professional Staff
Experienced and qualified members of the ABO Haven, Inc. family are committed to delivering high quality education and training for our students. For almost a decade, there has been no turnover amongst this core group of educators. In our view, this speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence in the classroom. Each professional has the capacity to share their enthusiasm for acquiring technical skills, understanding nuances of the workplace, and developing iinto overachievers.

Curriculum for the New Economy
To lay the proper foundation for the ABO Haven, Inc. learning experience, ESL and GED classes are offered to ensure that basic academic tools are in place. Effective use of pre-testing students who enroll for placement allows staff to adjust the material to the needs and capacity of the student. Practical, workplace applications of technology-based skills are taught which enable students to perform work-related task in an efficient manner. The ABO Haven, Inc. approach provides for a seamless transfer of skills from instructor to student in an environment which supports and encourages optimum performance in the classroom. These behaviors are carried over into the workplace upon graduation and placement with firms in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Over the years, ABO Haven, Inc. has earned a reputation with the employer community for preparing high quality applicants for the workforce. Specializing in placements which require data intensive customer service, medical terminology and billing, as well as office technology, our client listing includes firms who are industry leaders in key sectors of the Greater Philadelphia regional economy.
